finally had the chance to test... They have a different menu every week and when I was there I had hummus, minestrone soup, couscous (yes, couscous, a first in Zhuhai!) and grilled vegetables. The hummus was truly the best one I've had in China by far (and I've been to restaurants in Gz and Yiwu) and the rest of the food was similarly very refined and tasty (even the grilled vegetables weren't bland). Azur also had a lot of non-veg options that I haven't tried.

The atmosphere and the design are very nice as well, with a very comfy mediterranean style terrace on the square.

A regular must-go for those living not too far from Huafa New Town and Huafa Century, and a regular must try for the others!

I went to Azur for dinner with my husband last Friday (July 1st). I was amazed with the prices in relation to the quality of the food. We had a salad, and appetizer and two main courses. In a word, average. The pitta bread had been microwaved until I couldn't bite through it. The salad was nothing special and the dressing even less so but was 50RMB (for salad?!?). I had the artichoke pasta; bland. My husband also commented that it was nothing special. After all this and 4 draft Asahi we paid 391RMB. We had to give it a try but I will give it a miss from now on. One bright note; the service was enthusiastic.
It's too bad. The dining options are very limited as Zhuhai is a bit small, but I feel that they take the mickey out of the foreigners because we are desperate for some varied and decent tasting food.

Dear Suzanne,

We really appreciate your honest feedback and for giving Azur a chance. Being in a service industry we are aiming to please majority of our customers although we are aware that this is not always possible, therefore we deeply regret if you were not pleased with Azur Restaurant.

We went at Friday 19/8 and we had a very good time , Melody is always Smiling and willing to assist at any request. Because I don’t eat salt , I ask them not to use any at my dish , and it was as I wanted . My pasta was all dente , as I like it and in big portion so I share it with my 2 kids , the chicken filet from the grill came tender , juicy and it was smelling Mediterranean herbs . Humus and babaganus was just perfect . My 2 kids also liked very much their dishes. I don’t think the food is expensive if we consider the alla minute cooking and the freshness of the ingredients. We paid about 300 rmb and it was a decent price for the taste we had. We will go again .

I went to Azur many times and the only thing i have to say that they are doing the best job in Zhuhai. Both food presentation and taste are excellent, terrace and service are great, and regarding the prices I really don't understand how somebody can complain. (you even have a menu above and you can choose things according to your budget, instead of ordering most expensive items and than complain)
This place can compete with majority of good and well known restaurants in both Macau and Hong Kong, however, there are obviously some people wanting to undermine every good thing that is happening in Zhuhai, and I am sad when i read this kind of comments.
Zhuhai will grow and hopefully get many other dining options, but for now, the only thing I can say is that I would recommend Azur to everyone and that up to this day it is the best restaurant in Zhuhai.

Can you provide a map?
It would be great if any of the bars and cafes, were to show where they are located...
If you google the address, nothing comes up...

Hi Bromley,

We applyed to google maps, but it takes time untill they approve us, so hopefully we will be on google maps in a month or two.

The directions to come to Azur are very simple, If you are taking road from Huafa towards Nan Ping, on the firts big crossroads (with underpass and traffic ligts) you take the left, drive about 50 m, turn right in the first street and then again turn left on the first intersection. Then you arrive to a big square with seafood stalls on the right hand side. You will see a big tree and a terrace with chairs outside and there we are.(it takes a from 3-5 min from huafa depending on your luck with traffic lights)

Another option is to jump in the taxi and say Nan Ping Hai Xian Jie (Nan Ping Seafood Steet) which all drivers know it.

Looking forward to see you at Azur,

What hours are you open?
How to get there from Macau via Gongbei or Hengqin?
I do not know where Huafa is, but I know Nanping is across the river from Gongbei.

Hi Jorge, we are open from 11:30 - 14:00 and then from 18:00 - 22:00 for food. We are open all day for drinks. You have the address above and it takes about 5 min drive from Wan Zai and 15 min from Hen Qing. If there is more people and advance reservation we can be open all day.

I've been to Azur several times now, both with friends and colleagues.
Fro Huafa It is quick and easy to get to, the people are nice and the food is great.
Now it is a little cooler, the terrace is quite pleasant too.
I definitely recommend it!

Azur is the kind of place I really like, you have the choice between to dance outside or to talk with your friends inside, and the music is not as loud as in clubs. I really recommend it!

What a great find in Zhuhai! We ate at Azur at least once a week during our extended business trip to Zhuhai. Without a doubt this is the best place to eat in Zhuhai and we were always really pleased with the food and the service. Vedrun is a great host and made us very welcome, which is good when you are in a strange country and don't know anyone! We went to Azur for lunches and dinners - including my birthday dinner and an enjoyable cabaret evening! It is a pity that more people do not know about Azur but the good thing is that this means it is usually possible to get a table! The setting is really good - in the warmer months we sat outside under the tree on the terrace and in the cooler months the inside of the restaurant is cosy and welcoming. We travelled there by taxi from the Holiday Inn Hotel which does not take that long and does not cost much at all in the local taxis. Having Azur in Zhuhai made our time in Zhuhai much more bearable. Thank you! Matthew & David.

Azur is definitely the top of my list for a great meal and night out in Zhuhai. Food is fantastic and the service and company of the staff is even better. They are very accommodating with special requests and can not do enough to ensure you have both a great meal and, if you so desire, are well entertained conversationally. If you are new to Zhuhai it is a great place to meet good people with extensive local knowledge. They have just added an extensive cocktail menu - delicious and dangerous! You can have a lovely private table inside or out on the terrace in the warmer months. A drink at the bar always ensures a great laugh or two to help forget the troubles of the day. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming and you are always guaranteed and great meal and good conversation! My only problem - sometimes you can have a little too much fun on a school night!
Thank you Vedrun, Yvonne, Katarina and team for helping make my transition to living in China so much easier.

A true gem in Zhuhai.

I haven't lived in China for very long, but coming from the US... sometimes it's really nice to just get away and relax in a nice restaurant spending time with friends and family.

In order to get to the restaurant, I just copied the Chinese characters into my phone and showed it to the taxi. No problems finding it. It is a little tucked in, but I think that's what makes it such a cool getaway.

I took my mom and sister there for the first time 2 weeks ago. The music was great, the service was amazing and the food... was delicious! Allan, the chef, gave us all wonderful suggestions. I had the fish with truffle sauce. I didn't expect much since most high end restaurants really scrimp out the truffles. I was pleasantly surprised with a true truffle sauce and delicious roasted vegetables. Everyone in our party loved their food and was practically licking the plates. :D

We will be going back.
