Guangzhou Fair, organized by People's Government of Guangzhou Municipality and China Foreign Trade Center, is an international comprehensive large-scale fair concerning about the economy and trade cooperation between China and foreign countries.
The 2012 Guangzhou Fair will be held from August 24 to August 27 in Area A of China Import and Export Fair Pazhou Complex.
This year's Guangzhou Fair will, for the first time, be divided into two phases. The first phase will be a comprehensive exhibition divided into the following three pavilions: the international friendship cities and Hong Kong and Macao high-quality and famous brand products pavilion, the domestic friendship cities high-quality and famous brand products pavilion, and the Guangzhou high-quality and famous brand products pavilion. Eight international sister cities including Los Angeles, Barcelona, Bangkok, Fukuoka, Auckland and the consulates of 18 foreign countries in Guangzhou including the United States, Japan, Switzerland, Italy and Thailand will have a presence in the exhibition hall.
Held in the second phase will be a more specialized exhibition - Guangzhou Cultural Industry Products Fair. In addition to the exhibition of agricultural and food products, also included will be Guangzhou International Video Games Industry Exhibition, Guangfu Culture Exhibition, and the Fourth Guangdong Animation Arts Festival and the Film and Television Animation Derivatives Fair.
