Missing Dog
In China I only can think of the worse but wish you the best. Good Luck.
Hope Da Vinci will be fine!
It is best to post on local forums. Hope they find their friend!
Hello,
I'm so sorry your dog has gone missing - I could not imagine how you and your family are feeling. Hope you find him/her soon.
This might sound a bit rude following with a question but I need help!!
I’m using a pet transport company to bring my beloved dog to Zhuhai via Guangzhou airport. I’m coming on an APEC business card NOT a Z visa (visa immigration cleared card 60 days stay, then visa run can be used for 3 years). I know you are suppose to have a Z visa but the company said this and quarantine can be waivered.
My Q is I will need to register her with the police – and I want to do this, she also needs this so I have read to get her out of China again. Has anyone done this procedure without the Z visa and how easy was it?
Also can you take your dogs on beaches in Zhuhai off or on the leash!
Please help
Are you sure that you need to register her with the police?
Z visa is stupidly bureaucratic.
Fill out form and get company documents, get health exams , get out of country, come back in country.
It's not difficult but just hassle. And never assume your understand mandarin because they will treat you nicer if you only speak English (specially if you look chinese).
Dog register with police? I never heard of it but maybe it's new law of something. The dark side of China is that some bad person (.000001 % of population) will poison your dog.
A couple of weekends ago I went for a walk with my husband and daughter down the back streets of Bei Shan. I saw a dog like this.
I remember distinctly because I called it Lassie (after the dog on the TV) although I cannot explain exactly where I saw the dog, but I could take you back there. If you have not found your dog you can email me on [email protected] if you want my help.
I tried to call both the numbers you left above, the mobile is not in service and the landline was answered by a local man who did not speak any English and just hung up on me :(
@ nevermore, not sure if it is the same here but in Suzhou any dogs not registered with the police can be seized and destroyed.

Thanks guys, Mary has already put this info on other forums... hope they can find him soon
