Register chinese name for foreigner
In order to buy an apartment in Zhuhai, I need a chinese name. As I need to come to ZH to do this and time is limited, is there a way I can register my chinese name in 2 days time instead of the normal 7 days requirement.
Also can someone post the chinese address of the government offices that do the chinese name registration for taxi purpose.

What? I didn't know about this. How does one pick out a chinese name? Is it a random name or do you take your name and somehow sound it out in Chinese characters? I'm fascinated.
I had to do this as well when I bought my apartment 4 years ago. It's relatively simple, although there will be a lot of waiting at the notary office. Your name can be chosen based on your western name. Ask a Chinese for help...
