To achieve budgeted sales and profitability for steel products through development of new customers and by servicing existing customers through needs analysis, segment development, negotiation, sales, installation or delivery and post-sales services to a group of clients. To pro-actively visit customers and sell Sandvik Material Technology products at maximum profit for the group. To coordinate with potential customers to execute sales plans and development programs. To prepare customer call plans, visit reports and follow up actions, for all customer visits. To utilize the SMT SSCS databases, including storing and preparation of visit plans, all customer correspondence, telephone call reports and tasks distribution in the organisation. To actively promote the product range with emphasis on the priority products. To prepare customer offers and follow up to maximize profitability. To fill out lost order reports, noting competitor activity and pricing. To actively communicate within the organization to coordinate investment projects. To ensure prompt follow-up of overdue payments with regular feedback to the management team. To participate in exhibitions of importance in the sales territory. To participate in/lead customer seminars and conferences in the sales territory. To actively transfer buying customers to the Inside Sales Desk (ISD) to focus efforts on visiting key customers and developing new customers. To communicate with Sandvik Group and external suppliers through the ISD for all commercial matters. Technical matters can be handled directly with the suppliers providing a copy is stored in SSCS and the ISD is informed. To actively follow the market price development, competitor activities etc. with regular feedback to the sales team and management. Report all customer complaints to the ISD using the Non-Conformity Report form. Give the ISD input for the customer database. Keep all records and files in a good order and provides input to the development of rolling forecasts, targets and sales and marketing plans.
A university degree in a related subject Preferably 2 year’s relevant experience in an international organisation Proficient in written and spoken English Computer literate (Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office) Ability to work independently and under pressure Guangzhou residence
