Responsibilities

- Serve as the key regional management contact in all the aspects of the assigned product lines, including identification of business development opportunities,
- Support in business restructuring, acquisitions, co-operations and monitor the correct and consistent implementation of defined strategies as revealed in the target agreements.
- Report monthly to supervisor the business performance in the countries to help tracking the market development and trends.
- Optimize sales turnovers, improve profitability and identify areas of improvement by analyzing
- Benchmark regional businesses internally and externally, steering the regional team and assessing new opportunities
- Recommend termination of existing unprofitable businesses and establishing key account concept and instigating customer visits as needed
- Direct the development of regional market intelligence network and report to supervisor on analysis results, competitive information (competitors' market positions, strategies, strengths and weaknesses) on market trends and customer requirements to prepare for proactive marketing counter-measures
- Support efficient decision making in developing and reviewing global/regional strategies, policies and business plans.
- Monitor the implementation and propose modifications of pricing strategies on the region to balance the global/regional and local business strategies and ensure the profitability.
- Recommend to business unit head pricing targets each month together with the regional director.
- Evaluate, monitor and recommend the cost effectiveness and efficiency of the sales and distribution channels of the relevant product groups according to the agreed strategies/KPIs (key performance indicators), logistics practices and country sales network so as to determine the most effective sales channels and optimize the profit margins and market shares
- Identify the technical and product assistance needs in the regional markets and co-ordinate, as needed, the major services with global R&D/technical services to ensure superior customer services
- Timely know-how exchange between global and countries technical personnel according to global R&D development.
- Propose the manpower needs for the sales and marketing activities in the assigned product ranges.- Support the recruitment and development of the employees in key positions in the business unit by coaching, recommending development-related training programs
- Performance appraisal interviews, providing development opportunities to ensure the continuous improvement in teamwork, service levels, professional knowledge to prepare for business development.
- Lead and direct a regional sales and technical service team to implement the strategic objectives and act as an interface between the BUs and the sales companies in each country.

Qualifications

- Strong leadership and influencing skills are a MUST !
- Strong ability to identify opportunities or problem, and formulate and implement actions accordingly
- Strong in establishing & fostering customer relationships
- Strong impact in making deals by establishing and utilizing high-level contacts in customer companies
- Strong in technology (5-10 years working experience in Chemical Industry with good knowledge in chemical process technology, preferably in Catalysts Industry)
- Qualification: University graduate from Chemical Engineering or Chemistry, preferably with post-graduate degree in relevant subject
- Strong in new business development
- Strong sales & marketing background & business experience
- Good conflict management
- Readiness to frequent travel
- Capability to develop local talents & further enhance capabilities of organization
- Good team player (necessary for collaboration with colleagues from the same business unit worldwide)
- Strong networker (needs to mobilize resources in across the company group)

With Product knowledge below would prefer :
- Good understanding of operated chemical process and equipment such as distillation, cracking, treating, reforming for LPG, naphtha, motor gasoline, jetA-1. gas oil, fuel oil ,lubricant oil from crude oil .
- Research new catalyst for ethylene from butane, acetic acid from methanol and carbon monoxide. Designed and modeled/simulations the process for acetic acid.
- Be responsible for the project: phthalic anhydride made by oxidation of ortho-xylene. Installed and operated the equipment such as reactor, mixer, condenser, cooler, heat exchanger, steam boiler, steam turbine, air blower, pump, distillation unit, cooling water system
