Our Client, an established Multinational Civil Engineering and Construction Company from Portugal with its subsidiary office in Macau, is looking for an honest, enthusiastic and dedicated person to plan, direct, coordinate and supervise a variety of construction projects in Angola, Africa.
• Overall management of all project activities - inclusive of initial planning, mobilization of resources, execution, monitoring, control and completion. • Cooperate on the labor recruitment, specifically those from Mainland China, and liaise between Chinese labor and local/international engineers. • Successful implementation in coordination with the Project's Senior Management Team while ensuring effective management of project integration, scope, timeline, cost and quality. • Coordinate with other members of senior management through the project development stages to ensure effective implementation of operational activities coordinating people and resources, while monitoring project variables (scope, cost, time, and quality) against the project management plan and the project performance baseline and taking corrective measures as necessary. • Build and enhance a Project Core Team. Provide leadership, direct, support and monitor performance of the team in achieving set project execution objectives and targets. Ensure adherence to approved company policies and operational processes; provide leadership in addressing issues and problem solving. • Asses existing reporting system and enhance as needed to establish effective project status reporting, covering all relevant performance metrics (eg: Time, Cost, Resources, Scope, Quality and Actions) to facilitate decision making process.
• At least a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in the field of engineering; preferably civil engineering. • A verifiable record of at least 12 years of experience in the execution of construction projects, with at least 5 years as a Project Manager/Director. • Candidates must have experience working with construction workers from Mainland China and have a good understanding of their culture and working style • Candidates should have verifiable leadership and management skills • Fluency in both English and Mandarin is a mandatory requirement.
