The production, storage and sales of dangerous chemicals will be prohibited in Dongguan's urban area, as stated by a document from Dongguan Government on June 17.
According to the document, the government will set up a special zone for the production, storage and sales of dangerous chemicals, mainly in Xiegang Town, Dalingshan Town, Qingxi Town and Humen Port.
Any new projects or investments related to dangerous chemicals are required to be built in the special zone.
In addition, plants dealing with dangerous chemicals in Dongguan's urban area or other populated areas are required to move to the special zone or other proper places as soon as possible.
