Dongguan Xinda Toy & Gift Co. Ltd located in Dongguan's Hengli Township has been authorized as one of the licensed London Olympics souvenirs manufacturer. With the 2012 Games fast approaching, 2.5 million Olympics souvenirs made in Dongguan will be shipping out around the world over the forthcoming weeks.

According to Chris Franklin, the president of Xinda from England, the company is producing eight types of mascot statues. "We ensure quality when die-casting the work piece. Besides, we adopt more environmentally friendly and safer techniques in model decoration."‘Wenlock’ (London's 2012 Olympic Games mascot) will be produced in several outfits ranging from Scottish kilts and highland dress, an English-style double-decker bus model, and a miniaturised Olympic Gymnasium model.

The Olympics souvenirs have already passed EU regulations for toy safety standards. Official anti-counterfeit barcodes will be printed on the outer packaging of each mascot, which will each be priced at £9.50 (about 95RMB).
