Nanhai Development Co Ltd, which is principally engaged in water production and supply, sewage treatment and energy generation from waste, recently announced that it has sold a piece of land in Foshan, Guangdong Province for RMB 680 million.
The parcel, located in Shishan Town, Nanhai District of the city, on Nov. 5, 2009 was valued at RMB 420 million. The statement did not disclose more details about the land.
The Shanghai-listed firm's revenue per share from the sale were RMB 2.5.
In addition, Nanhai Development will invest RMB 314 million to build nine waste transfer stations in Nanhai District. They will deliver a total of 3,400 tons of refuse per day to local garbage burning power plants.
The first four stations are scheduled to go into operation at the end of 2010. Five additional stations will complete construction by the end of 2011.
