According to the introduction and explanation about the operating measures for the first new license-plate lottery by the Guangzhou Regulation and Control Office for Small and Medium-sized Passenger Car Quota on August 16, 2012.
The first new license-plate lottery will be held on August 27, when 6,544 new car registration quota will be allocated to units and individuals respectively through lottery, including 5,760 for individuals and 784 for units.
Applicants may inquire their qualification review results after August 25. In order to ensure a fair license-plate lottery, three random mechanisms - random determination of the application codes, random selection of the on-site witnesses and random determination of the lot-winning numbers - will be adopted during the lottery.
