[Shenzhen, 23th May 2012] Wow! This has been a lot of fun. Performances by the International High School Students, QSI International School of Shekou's Drama "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" is on, from May 23 to May 25, 2012.
The Synopsis of the drama is like this: Though considered a "good man" by his friends, Charlie Brown can't seem to win the heart of the Little Red-Haired Girl, nor his friend Lucy, her crush, the piano-playing Schroeder. Meanwhile Snoopy and Linus daydream and the rest of the friends battle with kites, school, baseball and misunderstandings before finally coming to realize what makes them truly happy.
The fact that the audience is already familiar with the characters, the actors have a really difficult challenge! Shekou QSI encourages students to explore and re-tell the stories of unsung heroes through the performance. "Dramatic performances are powerful," Jared King, the Director from Shekou QSI told Delta Bridges. "Performances allow our students to embody an unsung hero, and in that way students find out what inspired that person to do the amazing things they did."
And the cast, crew, and musicians had really pulled it off both vocally and instrumentally. Jared remarked, beaming, "The students and the staff who have helped out on this have been so awesome, I mean "epically awesome" We couldn't have done this without them. Theater is fun and everyone involved has kept that alive for this production to make it a positive experience for us all"
Charlie Brown was casted by William Lundahl, 19 years old, is in the IB-program at QSI (secondary-three). "After watching Phantom of the Opera in London as a young child, it has been a dream for William to become a Musical-artist." John Lundahl, William's father told us, who was just sitting in front taking photos for the drama and for his talent son, "William also enjoys making movies, some of them are on You-tube." Mr. Lundahl added.
"Besides William, Brian Zhang (Linus van Pelt), Meredith Xu (Lucy van Pelt) and Ori Leshem (Snoopy), etc, really doing a fantastic job and We're really excited and we believe they are already on the way to go for performing career." said Sangeeta Ghose, one of the audience, a mother of a 11-year-old son, who is studying at Shekou QSI Middle School.

You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown! is an entertaining musical comedy based on Charles Schultz's famous comic strip Peanuts. The show depicts, as the original program says, "an average day in the life of Charlie Brown." A day made up of little moments picked from all the days of Charlie Brown, from Valentine's Day to the baseball season, from wild optimism to utter despair, all mixed in with the lives of his friends. Sure to be a hit with all ages, You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown! will be a night to remember!
