A biochemical program launched by Dahuanong Bio-pharmaceuticals Co Ltd based in Zhaoqing was awarded first prize of the 2011 Guangdong Science and Technology Awards.
The Guangzhou Science and Technology Awards Conference was hosted by the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and Guangdong Provincial Government.
The winning program is named, Development, Promotion and Application of the Avian Influenza Animals’ Model, Immune Mechanism and Vaccines, which conducted research on preparations and large-scale production of mammals’ model, immune mechanism and vaccines to treat the Avian flu.
The company has made breakthroughs in technologies such as Virus Quality Optimization, Antigen Emulsified.
The program has improved the vaccine production process and yielded economic and social benefits.
Zhaoqing Dahuanong Bio-pharmaceuticals Co Ltd had cooperated with the Guangdong Laboratory Animal Monitoring Institute, and Guangdong Dahuanong Animal Health Products Co Ltd on the research project.
