It is learned that the 2012 Zhognshan (Shiqi) Recreation, Tourism, and Culture Festival and the Consumption Month will be held from June. 23 to July. 25. The festival has 12 programs such as dragon-boat race, dragon and lion dance, covering recreation, tourism, and culture.
It is introduced that the theme of the festival and consumption month is improving people’s livelihood by stimulating consumption, advocating self-cultivation and civilization, and accelerating development. A series of activities will be held during the festival, such as the dragon-boat invitational race, Shiqi consumption month, Shiqi gourmet month, Shiqi dragon and lion competition, Shiqi calligraphy and photography exhibition, and so on.
On the day of the opening ceremony, the dragon-boat invitational race will be held on the west side of Dongming Bridge on Qijiang River. During the consumption month, a “Shopping in Shiqi and Lucky Lottery Draw” activity will be held by Shiqi Chamber of Commerce and Shiqi Individual & Private Enterprise Association. On Jun. 24, the Shiqi dragon and lion competition will be held by Qijiang River. The Bureau of Tourism will mobilize travel agencies and social organizations to attract visitors from neighboring areas.
