On Friday, June 19th, Delta Bridges, in cooperation with Mr. Urs Calonder of the Swiss Chamber of Commerce, sponsored a local visit to several Swiss companies with factories located in the Zhongshan area. The agenda was to bring together any interested parties who wish to share knowledge and experience not only with specific product categories, but also regarding more general concerns for any factory manager or owner working in the Delta.
New friends were made and old friends became better acquainted. The factories visited were Swiss Pure, headed by Mr. Rene Forster (owner and President); CCS, represented by Mr. Paul Gerny (Managing Director) and Mr. Michael Rychen (Technical Sales Manager); SSM, represented by Mr. Sep Trittibach (General Manager), and Satisloh, also managed by Mr. Trittibach.
Swiss Pure specializes in custom made, high-quality cable and wiring harness manufacturing and assembly. CCS is an electronics engineering and manufacturing services supplier. SSM is a Swiss-based manufacturer of thread winding and processing equipment for the fabric and garment industry. And Satisloh is a subsidiary of SSM, specializing in optical coating for consumer eye glasses.
After the official tour, the assembled group repaired to the Bellavista Restaurant to enjoy a mug of fresh German draught beer, to recap the day´s events, and to plan the itinerary for the next round of visits.
