Copper mining
Count it: RMB 500 billion. That’s the current market worth for 30 million tons of copper ore. Which may come as good news to the residents of nearby Zhaoqing, whom will soon see their county become an industrial mineral resources base over the next few years, say reports. The local Zhuyuanding mountain in Kaifeng is sitting on at least 294,910,000 tons of precious minerals, of which copper constitutes well over 40 percent, say reports. The deposit also contains huge bodies of the precious metal molybdenum.
