Hi there everybody, here is a little update : as I was a bit overwhelmed with the paper work involved ,after a bit of research I found a pet relocation agent who could take care our dog for 1600 euros.(cargo) The agent was very helpfull, they told me what to do, where, how.. I just had to see my vet,get an export certificate, sign few forms, and that was it. I bring them my dog at lisbon airport on the 12 of june and someone bring him from HK at home in Zhuhai on the 13 of june . The agent from HK went by road , I think. They work with Pet Movers from HK. No quarantine. Happy howners , happy sausage dog jumping everywhere :)
Hi there, I know it's an old post but, I have a couple of question : Is it still that difficult to find blond dye in Zhuhai? Also I am going to bring mine from portugal ( boxe of DIY home dye ) I was wondering if six is too much or still acceptable for the custom?
Thank you all for your replies :) We have contacted Hong Kong import/export division and here is the reply (may help someone else ): If you plan to transport a dog from Portugal to Mainland China via Hong Kong , the following requirements should be met: 1. A Special Permit (for transshipment purpose) should be obtained well in advance from this Department. The permit fee for the transshipment of 1 dog is HK$432. For overseas application, please apply by mail and pay the permit fee by a bank draft in favour of "The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region". The bank on which the bank draft is to be drawn must be a licensed bank in Hong Kong. You may check the licensed banks in the following link:http://www.hkab.org.hk/ 2. Your pet must be accompanied by a veterinary health certificate during the transshipment. It should be completed in English/Chinese and issued from the exporting country/place dated not more than 14 days before departure . For transhipment, please complete the attached application form (AF240) with the submission of application fee to obtain a transit permit first. Besides, please also comply with the attached transit requirement (DCY) and also the import requirements for entry into Mainland China. 3.
